Evergreen Village was built by the
Amery Housing Authority to fill a need that
wasn't met by existing
facilities. The Authority has been providing housing and services to the
Amery Community since 1965. The concept of congregate
housing had
been growing in our consciousness since 1986 and since its opening
in
October 1990 Evergreen Village is the fulfillment of a dream:
independent
living, supplemented with needed services, plus a community
meal at noon. Evergreen Village is an effort to increase our
services to the
people in their retirement years.
